I need help!

Posted by keepwalking - January 9th, 2020

Newbie musician is in need of help!

Ive been struggling to configure right my new mic and audio setup with no success whatsoever. I bought an AT 2020 and a Newer powersource. No matter what I try the mic doesnt respond. Is this a powersource issue, or maybe I have wrong cables?

For anyone knowing the answer to this mess, If you help me sort this out, you win a free comission. Im serious.iu_84502_2303835.jpg

@ZStriefel Mine says 5v. Do you mean I need to change my phantom power source to a 45v one?

I think you're supposed to plug it in. Did I win?

All you need is an XLR Cable and a +48V power source going through the microphone (usually a button to turn it on/off) and then have a midi USB plugged into your PC. Depending on the model of your interface, it may not have a power switch.

48V if it has no ghost feeder

@ZStriefel btw. Everything looks fine on my pc. the mic shows up on the control panel and it's ready to use. But the mic does not respond, it is as dead as if it was turned off. I can only hear some low static noise on the background.
